Boris for Mayor

I have supported Boris on these pages before and read about the ups and downs of his trousers over the last few years. One of my favourite quotes was "voting Tory will cause your wife to have bigger breasts and increase your chances of owning a BMW M3. Most of you reading that would think it Boris buffoonery, howerver it was aimed at GQ readers. I for one purchased that month's GQ to see what the hell Boris was up to. In fact it was a well written piece of canvasing for Tory votes, aimed at middle class GQ readers of a certain age which I guess I was.... so is Boris going to be Mayor of London? In my bias opinion yes and thrice yes! He was quoted as saying today... "I am happy to confirm that I have today put my name forward to be the Conservative Candidate for London Mayor. I have been overwhelmed by the support I have received from so many people across London. I intend to remain an MP and will continue to represent the people of Henley, as I have done since 2001. I have, however, resigned from the frontbench as Shadow Minister for Higher Education with immediate effect" Even the greatest cities have further greatness in them.
